Adrenaline seekers are invited to take part in the thrilling KM Dragon Boat Race being staged to support The Alexa Trust.

The annual race is being organised by the KM Charity Team on Sunday, July 2^nd, 2017 at the beautiful Mote Park, Maidstone.

Simon Dolby from the KM Charity Team urged people to take the challenge to support The Alexa Trust.

“This is a thrilling way to raise money for this excellent cause. This team challenge is a fantastic day for both families and groups of friends. Big crowds will cheer you on from the banks of the lake while others browse the stalls and activities close to the shore,” he said

Teams of 11 are needed to take part but larger groups can be accommodated by swapping personnel in between heats. Maximum of 17. Each crew takes part in a minimum of three races.

Teams of all abilities take part and teams booking early usually receive press coverage in KM Group newspapers.

To take part team each crew member must pledge to raise

£100 for The Alexa Trust.

Team Captain’s should book their KM Dragon Boat at  www.kmcharitychallenge.co.uk and then reclaim the funds from crew members.

We recommend you simply divide up the registration fee between the crew members but don’t forget to ask your employers to make a contribution – they may even pay for the entire fee for your crew. Boats can be booked paying online (which is cheaper) or downloading a booking form and paying by cheque.

Adults taking part in the KM Dragon Boat race must tick the indemnity box in the KM Charity Team’s e-shop to complete the booking. In so doing the adult making the booking is agreeing to the following conditions.

“I confirm that I wish to enter the Dragon Boat race which is organised by KM Charity Team in aid of my chosen charity and understand that I do so at my own risk and that the KM Charity Team/KM Charity Challenge (and any of its group companies and any of their agents or employees) do not accept liability for any injury or loss that may occur as a result of my participation other than as a result of Race the Dragon Ltd’s negligence. I agree that medical advice should be sought from a general practitioner if I am in any doubt as to the physical ability to participate in the event.

I consent that photographs taken during the Dragon Boat race may be used to publicise other abseil events and the work of KM Charity Team or Race the Dragon Ltd generally. I acknowledge that Race the Dragon is running the boat race independently of KM Charity Team/KM Charity Challenge.

I confirm I am aware that KM Charity Team (and any of its group companies and any of their agents or employees) do not have any responsibility for the equipment supplied, the personnel used by Race the Dragon, the instruction and supervision supplied or any safety procedures.”
