The Alexa Trust is a UK Charity, set up in memory of our daughter Alexa, who was born prematurely in 2015, but sadly lost her battle for life after being born too soon, too small and after experiencing to many set backs.  To make something positive from such a terrible experience, we decided to set up the trust, so that we can give a little back to parents going through, probably the toughest time, they would ever experience.

Our Aim

To Support Parents with Babies in Neonatal

To relieve the needs of parents who are in need as a result having a child in a neonatal unit in particular by the provision of grants and such other support and assistance as shall be thought fit; and

To promote and protect the good health of women and their babies through education and raising awareness of pregnancy related issues, particularly preeclampsia, premature babies and neonatal death including the education of those working in neonatal units to enable them to better care for such women and their babies.

Whilst in Neonatal we identified opportunities in which we can help.  And now with the support of parents, the community, friends & family we are working together with our pilot hospital, the William Harvey Neonatal Unit, to make a difference.  We have also had meetings with the Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother Unit in Margate – more updates to follow

We started Fundraising in July 2015 and since then has gone from strenght to strenght.  Currently we are working on a project to support Breastfeeding Mums in Neonatal, which if you would like to get involved, is a very exciting project.  For more information please visit our FUNDRAISING and PROJECTS pages.

Let’s work together to support parents with babies in neonatal.  If you have a few hours, a day to spare or have valuable skills you feel would help us achieve our goals, please visit our VOLUNTEERS page.

We look forward to hearing from you.
